And, according to Don Balon, that has left him feeling lonely at the Nou Camp.
They claim he wants the Catalan club to pursue a move for his good friend and compatriot Coutinho, 24.

There are over five years left to run on his contract at Anfield after he penned fresh terms in January.
Don Balon suggest Lionel Messi may not be entirely in favour of a move for Coutinho because it could see Javier Mascherano head for the Nou Camp exit door.

Both players were on the scoresheet as Barca romped to a 7-1 win over Osasuna last night.
